Howdy Moms!  I’m promoting my giveaway for the game of Spoons on this site, as well as on my game-themed site.  It struck me that moms might want to participate in this giveaway too, and score a fun game to play with their family.  I love playing this game with a bunch of kids.

L’BRI Skin Care Products Giveaway — CLOSED

giveaway-1

It’s been a long time since I last hosted a giveaway, and it’s time to make it a regular habit again!  This month I’m giving away a tube of L’BRI aloe vera barbadensis jelly, a vitamin E stick, and a sample of their intense moisture cream.  The aloe vera jelly is awesome at speeding up the healing process and I’ve used it many times on myself and my children.  The vitamin E stick keeps lips moist and provides a bit of SPF, too.  If you’re not from Wisconsin, you have probably never heard of L’BRI products.  It’s a local company which uses aloe as the first ingredient in its skin care, beauty and home products.  If you want to learn more about the company, visit their site.

Enter by following the link below.  It’s open to participants within the 48 contiguous United States and will end on Feb. 28, 2017.  The winner will be announced on my blog and contacted through email.  Good luck!

Chomps Snack Sticks Review

Chomps 1

I received this sample for free, but my opinion is my own.

My family and I recently had the opportunity to sample Chomps Snack Sticks and provide a review.  I’m one of those people who is always willing to sample food.  What can I say?  I like to eat!

They sent us three flavors to try out–Original Flavor, Hoppin’ Jalapeno, and Crankin’ Cran.  These beef sticks are made from organic grass-fed non-GMO New Zealand beef, and natural spices.  They don’t contain any added sugar or gluten, MSG, nitrates, fillers, binders or preservatives.  That’s a lot of stuff that’s left out!  Really, they are meant to cater to those on a paleo diet.

Although I’m not on a paleo diet, I did enjoy them as a snack nonetheless.  I favored the Original Flavor, which only had a pleasant tingle.  The texture was fairly smooth, which put me in mind of summer sausage for some reason.  I’d say that the flavor for all of them definitely leans more toward an actual meat flavor, without being overly salty at all.  My husband enjoyed the Crankin’ Cran and said it was quite spicy, at least a medium.  He thought the Hoppin’ Jalapeno had a nice tingle, but wasn’t too hot.

We would definitely eat these again.  I’ve been steering away from processed meat lately, just because of all of the bad stuff in there, but I would feel comfortable feeding these to my family.

So there you go…my two cents on this new product.  I hope this review has been informative for anyone who is wondering whether or not they should give these snack sticks a go!

Camping Packing List

Camping List 1

My family and I went camping this September to a place that I’ve gone to ever since I was a kid.  This time we stayed in a cabin, but we’ve tent-camped and gone in an actual camper in the past.  After forgetting a few things for our trip, I decided that it was time to finally assemble a comprehensive packing list for camping.  This list should cover us for whatever type of camping we will be doing in the future.

I wanted to share it with you so that you can easily pack what you need on your next camping adventure.  There are plenty of open lines for you to add your own items to the list, as well.

There are a couple of items on the list that I wanted to explain.  The battery-operated light up wreath and rope light are for places where there is no ambient light at night, nor any lights that you can turn on.  I saw someone at a nearby cabin with the light up wreath and I thought it was an awesome idea.  The Sharpie on a lanyard is for labeling cups.  The lanyard makes it easy to hang up and difficult to lose.  I think everything else on the list is fairly self-explanatory.

I hope this packing list comes in handy for you!  🙂

I just wanted to share that I joined Smiley360 recently and am waiting to receive my first product to review.  When you sign up, you agree to provide reviews for products which they will send you.  Which products you qualify for depends on the questionnaire that you fill out, which details information about your family, interests, etc.  Right away I qualified for a sample of children’s cold medicine, so I’m looking forward to trying that out.  It seems like my kids are always getting colds this time of year.  Anywho, if you’d like to check them out, just click on the link: Smiley 360
